About Us

Ini Newe/Mina Lawe is a communication platform for communities mainly women from the low-income population situated in rural and peri-urban areas of Zimbabwe. We strive to foster development of individuals, communities and the nation through highlighting people’s lives using traditional and new media.  We focus on developmental, gender, financial and general issues that lead to the growth of an individual. We believe that if a woman is developed then the whole country develops, hence our main focus is on women. Our aim is to offer inspiration to women and communities through providing stories about people in similar situations that are making it against all odds.

Through our Ini Newe/Mina Lawe communication platforms we wish to positively influence the mindset of citizens regardless of their race or tribe. Our flagship publication, Ini Newe/Mina Lawe Magazine is in Shona and Ndebele languages and it reaches every province of Zimbabwe.

We desire to make women and community voices shape the discourse of our country with impact on policy and development. Our platform with a team of dedicated journalists and new media communicators will strive to bring voices from rural and peri urban areas in particular, and from women and men in Zimbabwe.
